Drivers License

The number of migrants and refugees who complained to MIGHelp about missing job opportunity for lack of driver’s license rapidly increased. Driver’s License is a luxury to many refugees because of its high cost. When it became clear that lack of driver’s license was slowing the development and integration of migrants and refugees MIGHelp decided to ask for financial support from the, Asylum Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF) of European Union.

In late 2016, MIGHelp got the support to send 30 migrants and refugees for a driving training within its its project called ‘Mighelp’s labour market competence training and migrant career-centre’ co-founded by The Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF) of the European Union. The course is currently running.

MigHelp has also secured another support to offer “B” Category driving course to extra 15 migrants/refugees and “C” Category driving course to another 15 migrants/refugees who already have the “B” Category.
The reason we decided to offer “C” Category is because of the number of refugees and Migrants who want to actually pursue career in transportation.

Some refugees/migrants want to become Truck or Bus drivers as a means of employment and earning a living. MIGHelp would like to help them succeed.

In the summer of 2017 Mighelp has launched its new AMIF project called ‘Training Alternatives in the Hope of Marketable Knowledge and Jobs’, within which we offer ‘B’ and ‘C’ category training. The application for these trainings is now open (
